Clients reward atares with excellent rating

The M&A advisory firm atares, which specialises in technology deals, recently conducted a survey among its clients. Based on the Net Promoter Score (NPS) concept, the company asked its clients ten questions, including “How would you rate the quality of the services provided?”, “How satisfied are you with the overall success of the transaction?” and “How would you rate the technical M&A expertise of our team? Two results stand out: the average score for both technical M&A expertise and willingness to recommend was 9.5 out of 10.

For the overall score, atares scored 77 out of 100, well above the industry average of 67. According to global standards for NPS scoring, a score of 50 is considered very good and scores above 70 are considered excellent. atares has therefore received an outstanding rating from its clients.

The positive image that customers have of atares and the atares team was also reflected in the feedback to other questions.

  • Participants rated the quality of service with an average of 9.1 out of 10.
  • The average satisfaction score was 8.7.
  • For the quality of communication, atares received an average score of 9.0 out of 10.
  • The respondents rated the fulfilment of their personal needs with an average of 9.5 points.

Praise for expertise, understanding and structure

In their responses to the open-ended questions, participants were given the opportunity to provide additional feedback, such as what they would have benefited from most. These are some of the comments they made:

The basis of the evaluation

In designing the survey, atares used the concept of the Net Promoter Score (NPS). The NPS measures a person’s overall attitude towards a brand or company. The central question is: “On a scale of 1 to 10, how likely is it that you would recommend us to your friends, colleagues or business partners? This question and its variants form the basis of all NPS calculations. Respondents are asked to give their rating on a scale of 1 to 10. They are then assigned to one of three categories based on their score: Scores of 0 to 6 count as Detractors, 7 to 8 as Indifferent/Passive and 9 to 10 as Promoters. The Net Promoter Score is calculated by subtracting the percentage of Detractors from the percentage of Promoters. Indifferents/passives are not considered.
